I guess that's justice?

This is what Justice in America has come to....

Bush commutes Libby's prison sentence.

Said the president:
"I respect the jury's verdict, But I have concluded that the prison sentence given to Mr. Libby is excessive. Therefore, I am commuting the portion of Mr. Libby's sentence that required him to spend thirty months in prison."

Said the Vice president's office:
A spokeswoman for Cheney said simply, "The vice president wrote supports the president's decision."

I guess that's the end of that then....

Wait, hang on, I call bullshit on this. I thought we, as Americans, were entitled to equal protection under the law? Bush allowed 152 Texans to be executed ...but 30 months in prison for his friend for obstruction of justice is excessive?!? How many drugs do I have to take so that this makes sense?

AND - Where is the surprise in this? Karl Rove (sp?) is the person that should be roasting in prison and learning how NOT to drop soap in the showers.
