Disgraceful

We're supposed to believe this train wreck of a person is supposed to be ready to be the PRESIDENT?!?
I'm not sure if this makes me want to laugh or cry...

Hello, Mr. Angry Left. Lemme get you another drink. Perhaps a stiff one.

;)

Slate is having a contest for McCain’s next campaign stunt: http://www.slate.com/id/2200927/?from=rss

This was my entry:

I expect he'll do something like renege on a promise or two, now that "the fundamentals of our economy" are suddenly taking a dive.

He'll say something like:

My friends, when it comes down to it, we need to unfreeze our economy to preserve our way of life for future generations. Sometimes this means making tough choices, even if it's at the expense of drilling in pristine lands like ANWR-drilling I previously opposed. These lands have been protected for the future of Americans and that future is in jeopardy if we don't act now.

So instead of selling Alaska to the Russians (my previous brilliant idea), we should focus our attention on tapping this small, relatively unvisited (gas prices are SO high) reserve in Alaska's far north where nobody lives in order to to pay off the debts our federal government and broken financial system have irresponsibly run up-this bailout being a prime example.

My aides tell me that Wikipedia (turns to aides: Wiki-what?) estimates 10.4 billion barrels of oil are recoverable in ANWR. With oil barrels selling today for $108, that means we can make (hold on, let me get my abacus) ...$1.1 Trillion dollars, enough for the bailout and a surplus of $400 billion to build the pipelines and infrastructure to get it.

(Mumbled to himself in a senile fashion: Plus, it'll make my little vixen of a VP happy.)

Problem solved!

Senator McCain approved this message, even though it was written by a woman.

What's sad is...I'm not on the left. I'm probably not voting for Obama...I just can't stand the staggering ineptitude of the Republican Party.

Who are you and where have you put Chris Haseman?

I'm not a huge fan of the two party system, but the Republicans couldn't have manufactured a VP candidate I'd want in office-any office-less, so the way I see it, I don't have much of a choice.

I didn't say I was voting for McCain. Just that I'm not voting for Obama
