I guess I'm a terrorist in Alabama?

It's not like I needed another reason _not_ to go to Alabama....but on their official State of Alabama website, listed under "Domestic Terrorists" Sub-Header: "Anti-Government Groups?" I found this little gem:

Anti-government groups usually believe:

  • Gun Control = Enslavement

  • Constitution has been subverted

  • The U.S. has lost its sovereignty

........

In general, these terrorists claim that the U.S. government is infringing on their individual rights, and/or that the government's policies are criminal and immoral. Such groups may hold that the current government is violating the basic principles laid out by the U.S. Constitution and that a new world order is attempting to enslave humanity.

Sure, that makes sense! Those who think the fedral government is out of control....those who think we as citizens have a responsibilty to check those who would abuse their power...must very well be terrorists. Watch out for those folks, they're scary.... This might be funny or amuzing if the President didn't believe he could detain any US citizen without due-process just by declaring him/her an "enemy combatant"

"Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are ruined." Patrick Henry, Anti-Federalist and now, apparently, a terrorist (1788)
